Describe a hisctorical building you have visited.
You should say: where it was; what people do there; why you went there; explain how you felt about this building.
The historical building that I have visited is the old Nanjing library. This building means a lot to me. It is in the northwest past of Nanjing, the capital city of Jiangsu Province. It looks like an ancient castle built around 100 years ago. It is quite famous for its old book resources and the academic atmosphere inside. The first time I paid a visit to this library was when I was on a trip to Nanjing. I had heard from a local tourist guide that in recent memory this old library was one of the top ten oldest libraries in China.
For readers who love this library, including me, it is extremely well known locally for the facilities inside. Let me give you an example. When you enter the library, you can see the old wooden chairs and wide dusty bookshelves; this makes reading a mysterious advanture. You can wonder at who has sat on these chairs before you-- famous authors, professors or just us bookworms.
Finally, I would say this historic building carriers all the memories of Nanjing city. Maybe my personal experience can help you to understand. It was on a cold winter's afternoon and I was wandering about in this library, looking for a book. A wall full of photos grabbed me attention and I noticed that these images were taken lots of years ago. These old black-and-white snapshots reflected the scenes of the old days of Nanjing. I am amazed at the significance of this library for the people in the city. Now I guess you can see my feelings about this old library.
